Meet and Greet: Character Jake

Meet Jake, one of the love interes ts from   A Life Cut Short . Jake is an easy-going, surfer-looking, deep-voiced, nice guy. Easy-going because he really has no worries in life; he's got a good job and is working on his dream of making it big in the music world. Camry describes him as surfer-looking due to his messy-but-somehow-styled-perfectly blonde hair and tan, fit build. His deep voice doesn't quite fit his face but is soothing when spoken and amazing when sung. And last but not least, he's simply a nice guy; he cares, has manners, and is chivalrous. There is instant attraction when he first sees Camry at his work. Their first meeting is unforgettable for both of them (and deadly for the bee). Their relationship continues in a dream-like manner, almost too good to be true. Jake is the only person Camry trusts with her secret, and, in good-Jake-fashion, he believes her all the way, wanting to help her through all the bumps of her future road. The adventure that ensues

My BookViral Review - Part I

Image
My BookViral Review - Part I I've labeled this Part I because I fully intend on making a Part II...eventually. I just don't want to speak to soon and jinx something, but I will say this much...I'm extremely impressed with BookViral so far. When you go to their website,  https://bookviralreviews.com/submit-books-for-review/ ,  you can then submit your book details. Since my book is listed on Amazon, they then read through the sample to see if my writing was something they wanted to take on. With me passing that first test, they agreed to take on my review. I selected one of the Fast Track options and sent my book to them.  They promised it to be completed within 18 days, and they finished in an astonishing 10 days! I absolutely love the review!  It's a bit surreal to see it like this...  ...not to mention like this... ...so without waiting any longer, here is the full review... "A thoroughly enjoyable read, ‘A Life Cut Short’ delivers in every way a Paranormal Roman

Meet and Greet: Character Benson

Meet Benson, one of the love interests from A Life Cut Short . Benson is a tall, dark, and good-looking (despite his somewhat large forehead) 20-year-old guy.  He's trying to start his life in the city, working his way through college the best he can...at the bowling alley. He's an incurable romantic with incredible patience. Coming from a home of loving parents and a happy childhood, he's the eldest of five kids and wants that sort of life for himself. Enter...a pretty brunette that comes by herself to the bowling alley almost every day to work on her game. Benson takes notice of her immediately and after a month, decides to make his move.  Benson i s your typical "nice guy". He'll get you napkins when your nose starts bleeding, and he'll shyly give you advice on your game. This bowling girl was a little quirky to begin with, but as Benson gets to know her, it's like she's two different people (wink, wink...she is). Still, he's determined to m

Meet and Greet: Character Cassia

Meet Cassia, the ghost from  A Life Cut Short.  Cassia was the only child of a well-to-do businessman/engineer father and a mentally unstable mother. Her mother left her and her father when she was only five years old, moving hours away and cutting off contact. Still, Cassia grew up to be a fairly typical teenager. She enjoyed tennis and hanging out with her friends (when her dad allowed her anyway--he was quite strict about who she hung out with).  Cassia  was spoiled with fancy tangible items and knew this was her father's way of showing his love for her. Because of her spoiled-type lifestyle, she was a bit on the selfish side, but still completely and totally a kind person at heart. She just couldn't help but want what she wanted. She was fashionable and proper, and despite living in a big city, somewhat sheltered, a bit fearful of the big wide world. Her father really did try  to give her the best life he possibly could, but perhaps not ever talking about the situation with

Meet and Greet: Character Camry

Meet Camry Jacobs, the main character from A Life Cut Short.  Camry is an only child of wonderfully indifferent parents. She knows they love her but feels left to her own devices often, such as when they moved across the country once she turned 18 and went to college. This has created a very grown up Camry, one that can handle most situations on her own, she likes to think.  She has lost touch with her high school friends a bit and has become a bit of a recluse; however, she is a creature of habit and loves a good healthy routine, such as working out every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. She is also quite fashionable, loving cute dresses and skirts, never to be seen in pants or anything yellow (except that one time she wore shorts to jump off a cliff)...which contradicts the fact that she's also a bit of a safety freak, never wanting to do anything that'd put her in danger and wonders why on earth people  want  to do risky things. (You must read the book ;) to understand this co

Debut Novel, A Life Cut Short

Wow! Writing a book is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Getting it down first time around wasn't so bad, but perfecting it was a whole other ballgame. Then finding and dealing with editing...all I can say is, "Whew!"  But that's not the end. Learning and dealing with platforms such as: Amazon, IngramSparks, etc. is yet again, a whole other ballgame. I didn't even know the rules to this game. I'm still learning them, honestly. Then there's promotion! Which to someone like myself, is an anxiety nightmare! Fast forward...and here I am.  I have a Facebook account...  facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090682936856 and now a blogger.com. Welcome! I'm on the fence about a website, hiring a book promoter, contacting my local library, and so many other ideas I keep reading about to help with getting my book out there. Again, the anxiety of it all!!! Plus, I have to admit, I don't want to be famous. The point of this is to sell books, yes, bu
